….Shropshire’s first social enterprise networking group

A monthly networking event specifically for those people who want to do business in a way that gives back.

Booking is essential and do it soon to avoid disappointment!

Next meeting – Thursday  11 July 2013 from 6-8pm

We have 2 treats at the next Venture, first of all ImageMatch have kindly agreed to host the meeting at their new offices to celebrate their move – and of course, show off their new offices to us! So please do note the special venue for next month’s meeting.

And to take advantage of the WiFi on offer, Shropshire RCC has agreed to provide us with a social media special event. So if you’re new to social media or want to improve your skills, they will show us how to take advantage of social media to get our messages out there.

As usual, there will be plenty of opportunity to network and also for us to continue our group discussions around partnership and collaborative  working. As always, there be nibbles and drink to keep you invigorated!

Venture booking – July 2013

Whilst the network will not be profit making, a small charge of £5 per meeting will be made to cover the cost of venue, refreshments and any speakers we organise.

What?

Do you run a Shropshire Social Enterprise? Is your focus as much on the ‘enterprise’ part as it is on the social/community benefits you generate?

If so, you may be interested in a networking group being set up so that you can meet like-minded people who also want to focus on enterprise to look at:
•    Collaboration opportunities
•    Supporting each other
•    Information and ideas sharing
•    Ways that we can use our enterprising businesses to support voluntary and community groups.
•    Open facilitated discussion.

Who?

The meetings will be facilitated by Jim Hawkins, BBC Radio Shropshire presenter (amongst many other great things). Jim is a social entrepreneur himself and a keen supporter of Shropshire Social Enterprises.
